The land art project aims to establish a connection between nature and tourism. It is intended to give impetus to how mountains used for tourism can be designed in a sustainable and environmentally compatible way. Instead of creating artificial worlds of steel and concrete that are far removed from any experience of nature, the focus should be on sustainability, environmental awareness and climate protection. With this project, the Ursprung association wants to show how a coexistence of intact habitats and tourism development can succeed. The aim is to raise awareness of the sustainable design of summit attractions and, at the same time, to encourage guests to perceive nature and see themselves as part of these important ecosystems.
Das Land-Art-Kunstprojekt soll eine Verbindung zwischen Natur und Tourismus herstellen. Es soll Anstoß geben, wie touristisch genutzte Berge nachhaltig und umweltverträglich gestaltet werden können. Statt dem Erschaffen von künstlichen Welten aus Stahl und Beton, die fern von jeglichen Naturerlebnissen sind, sollen Nachhaltigkeit, Umweltbewusstsein und Klimaschutz in den Fokus gerückt werden. Mit diesem Projekt will der Verein Ursprung aufzeigen, wie eine Koexistenz von intakten Lebensräumen und touristischer Entwicklung gelingt. Es soll eine nachhaltige Gestaltung von Gipfelattraktionen ins Bewusstsein gerückt und parallel der Gast dazu animieren werden, die Natur wahrzunehmen und sich selbst als Teil dieser wichtigen Ökosysteme zu sehen.

For the implementation of the LAND ART RITTISBERG 2023, the Ursprung association has engaged Frank Nordiek, Cornelia Konrads, Jette Mellgren and Karin van der Molen. To reduce the carbon footprint, the natural materials needed to create the artworks are sourced from the immediate surroundings (Schladming-Dachstein region).
Für die Umsetzung des Land-Art-Projekts hat der Verein Ursprung Frank Nordiek, Cornelia Konrads, Jette Mellgren und Karin van der Molen engagiert. Um den CO2-Fußabdruck zu verringern, werden die benötigten Naturmaterialien zur Erschaffung der Kunstwerke aus der unmittelbaren Umgebung (Region Schladming-Dachstein) bezogen.
